Pediatric Limb Loss and Limb Difference: An Introduction for Parents

For parents of children with limb loss or difference, navigating the vast range of answers to questions may be a challenging task. To ease this burden, we have compiled valuable information and resources in our introduction fact sheet that can assist those families today. More than half of children living with limb loss or difference are born that way, while the rest acquire it later in life. These families join a supportive community which is continually growing due to annual surveys conducted across the United States’ pediatric amputee clinics.
